Let’s face it, social media updates can turn into a major time-suck if you are not careful, so automating your posts and scheduling updates is a must.

You can get your social stuff planned and uploaded in one bunch and go your way to do other important stuff. It will save you time and make your life so much easier!

Of course, you don’t want to come across as a robot or spammer, so do be mindful of what you post, how often you post, as well as take your time to write spontaneous updates and interact with people: re-tweet, comment, say “thank you” or send a private message.

While you should not simply schedule every single one of your social media interactions and expect to create engagement, there is no reason you cannot use a combination of scheduling your EVERGREEN content and LIVE updates for the best results.

Why Twitter? And as far as scheduling and automating, Twitter is probably the best place to get the most engagement bang for the time you spend.

First of all, you are not penalized for scheduled tweets on Twitter and as long as you consider the content and the amount of tweets you are sending then this is a good strategy to use.  Most users on Twitter don’t mind and even expect frequent updates, and posting frequently will really help you get found by more people.

Another reason is that there are some really great tools that you can use for free that will make your updates super easy. Most people heard about Socialoomph, Buffer or Hootsuite — all great tools for posting to various social media networks – Facebook, Google, Linkedin, Twitter and other. However, I want you to check out this free tool: TweetJukebox — you can schedule your tweets in advance with ease, which will save you lots time.

Consistency is important on Twitter, and it will help you grow your following much faster, so you can sit down once a month (or as often as you like), review your automated tweets, add new ones, etc., and have a stream of evergreen content being posted to your account.

So, how often should you tweet? Depending on your goals, and the type of engagement you are aiming for, plan for at least 2-3 updates daily, up to 20-30, or even more. Experiment to see what feels right for you and what is working best for your audience.

Whether you have one hour per day, per week or per month, with the right strategy and motivation you can make a bigger difference online — you’d really be surprised!

What’s Twitter DOMINATION?

What’s Twitter Domination? It’s a program and an ongoing challenge for visionaries, leaders, change-makers — if you are reading this I hope it’s YOU! –to help you spread your message via Twitter.

>>>Twitter DOMINATION challenge – coming soon!

The program is still in the writing, but for now what you can do is this:

 1. If you haven’t already, for the love of animals, set up that Twitter account already!

Also, make sure it’s presentable. I’ll describe what it means soon, right now just make sure you upload a decent photo of yourself into your profile, as well as create a brief description in the “about you” section on the left hand side.  An interesting and informative header image would be nice, too. Contact me to help you create one or go to Fiverr.com and find someone to do it for cheap.

If it’s a spanky new account, post a few interesting tweets, and follow a few people, just to get your Tweeter juices going.

2.  Go to TweetJukebox.com and sign up for an account. You must have your Twitter account up and running, because you’ll need it now, but other than that, you don’t need anything else — it’s super-easy and FREE. TweetJukebox

3. Write some tweets right in the Jukebox or copy and paste the following tweets and upload them into your Jukebox (more detailed instructions coming soon…).
